Title: IT Specialist

Cornerstone Defense, in partnership with our military, intelligence, and civil government customers, supports U.S. operations worldwide through the use of many different types of intelligence, satellite, and cyber technologies.  Cornerstone’s Intelligence Sector provides solutions to the United States Government for information collection, operations, exploitation and dissemination, and research activities. Our Team specializes in software development, cloud architecture, systems and network engineering, systems integration, agile management, as well as targeting operations and intelligence analysis. Our support to our mission customers includes cyber network operations, exploitation and defense, signals intelligence, human intelligence, and critical missions and networks. 

General Requirements:

  • Perform preventative maintenance which includes but is not limited to installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and patches.
  • Provide consolidated help desk function/serve as the government IT focal point for customer support. 
  • Handling of full range IT-related issues, including:
    • Support walk up, telephone or e-mail customer problem resolution.
    • Receive, answer and transfer, when required, trouble calls and maintenance requests in support of all government missions and personnel.
    • Assign a ticket number and track communication system outages and repair actions until the issue is resolved.
    • Deliver all software, designs, records, databases, manuals, guides, standard operating procedures, and similar items developed in rendering problem resolution services. 
    • Troubleshoot, fix, and document failures.
    • Other IT duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Basic help desk resolution and service desk delivery.
  • Experience troubleshooting Cisco networking.
  • Experience supporting users in a Microsoft Active Directory environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 servers and current client operating systems (Windows 10 preferred).
  • Ability to diagnose server/workstation or network alerts, events, or issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • A+ certification or equivalent technical training.
  • Network + certification or equivalent technical training.
