Roles and responsibilities potentially include:
Administer and manage Linux and hardware for on-premises systems, engineering, analysis, and test environments
Perform system and user account maintenance
Test and assess security configuration of Linux servers
Monitor, evaluate, and optimize system performance
Troubleshoot and resolve operating system conflicts
Analyze, test and implement security patches and hardening
Perform maintenance data collection on the equipment
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Document maintenance actions
Installs, configures and maintains multiplatform systems hardware, software and components
Integrates security solutions into information systems
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Experience with Linux system administration including testing building/provision large-scale physical and/or virtual environments
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, retain, and apply good interpersonal skills, and perform effectively under time pressure
