Senior Solutions Architect

We are looking for team-members with creative talent who are ready to take on the challenge of Senior Solutions Architect to work collaboratively in order to further advance cutting-edge technology, products, and services for a large Government agency to detect and mitigate insider threats.

We are looking for a technologist that understands the wide enterprise IT landscape and can effectively identify and communicate risks and solution enhancements. As Senior Solution Architect you will become an expert in all aspects of the production infrastructure and work closely with onsite engineers, administrators, database admins, and software developers. You will work in a secure, fast paced environment with continuous integrations and leading-edge technologies. Roles and responsibilities potentially include:

Analyze current IT architecture and propose, design and implement future enhancements
Effectively communicate solutions and issues to wide audience of technical and non-technical members
Conceptualize, develop and implement IT architecture solutions in a secure customer mission space
Form key relationships with all members of the technical service team and act as the bond that integrates the various technical duties together
Identify customer needs and requirement, plan and present future product road maps
Identify all required components for solutions integration including hardware/software procurements, data center power sizing, network design, and deployment strategies
Work closely with System Engineers and Administrators to define and align tasks for solution implementations
Work closely with technology vendors to evaluate products through technical exchange meetings and product evaluations
Develop solutions that are highly available and fault tolerant
Develop project plans and identify risks
Identify legacy solutions and design recap

Required Experience:

Minimum three (3) years experience in designing, developing, building, and implementing Big Data solutions or developing automated solutions to solve complex problems, a thoughtful ability to solve problems could outweigh years of experience.
Experience creating Solution Briefings for customers that provide a solution description, cost/benefit analysis and implementation schedules.
Experience deploying solutions that meet NIST 800-53, ICD503 security requirements
Wide comprehension of how various IT infrastructure components work together, including Servers/Workstations, network equipment, Big Data infrastructure, data storage management, enterprise software application, and on-premise cloud solutions
Expert in Microsoft Enterprise Infrastructure components such as Active Directory, Domains and Trusts, DNS, DHCP, SQL, Exchange, Clusters
Experience with IT workstation environments and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
Comfortable working on site in a secure classified environment
Experience implementing storage technologies to include Fiber Channel SAN and Network Attached Storage
Experience configuring Local Area and Wide Area Networks.
Experience configuring Firewall policies and NAT polies
Experience engaging with vendors to allocate budgets for IT purchases and plan procurements
Experience designing and implementing on premise cloud architecture using VMware vSphere
Experience with developing disaster recovery and COOP plans is a plus
Experience designing and implementing Hadoop (HDFS, Kafka, Impala/Hive)
Experience with UNIX/Linux environments
Experience designing and integrating firewall solutions
Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) is a plus
Experience integrating hardware solutions into Enterprise Data Centers
Understanding of RESTful service and APIs
Working experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
