Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in various areas of IT technical management and system engineering
• Experience in planning, system engineering, budgeting, acquisition, development, and integration of IT and mission infrastructure including: networks, repositories, high performance computers, and desktop infrastructures.  
• Experienced with hardware systems architecture,  network architectures and system engineering process. 
• Supports long term planning activities (Service Strategy) for the program by providing technical strategies and implementing plans.
• Leads engineering (Service Design) activities for near term initiatives.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining design processes and artifacts for program initiatives.
• Conducts business case analysis & maps outcomes to business strategy.
• Evaluates and recommends solutions and strategies to program leadership.
• Promotes the architecture vision to management, stakeholders and staff.
• Have knowledge with monitoring network performance, solving technical issues, deploying, configuring and upgrading network equipment, managing firewall changes, ensuring network security and providing customer service. This position will collaborate with other departments and vendors to plan, design, implement and oversee all network services including wireless, virtual private networking (VPN), firewall, Internet, switching and routing.
• IT infrastructure technologies, including network issues with wireless, firewall, storage, and servers on-premise and in cloud environments
• Experience with network infrastructure, testing and security such as switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access points, Internet circuits, server rooms, network closets, and Disaster Recovery environments
• Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of network platforms and procedures in tools like Confluence
• Experience with creating and updating network diagrams, network infrastructure performance reports and dashboards in tools like Visio, Solarwinds, ThousandEyes, ExtraHop and Sumo Logic

 
Qualifications:

• Minimum General Experience: At least ten (10) years developing and delivering IT Architectures or IT systems design/ engineering services or supported that activity with an organization.
• Functional Responsibility: Provides architecture and business consulting services. Functions as lead consultant and project manager on technically complex projects.
• Minimum Education: A BS in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent years of experience.
