Software Engineer (Model and Sim)
Colorado Springs, CO

Cornerstone Defense is seeking a Software Engineer to develop Modeling & Simulation-based test and training capabilities for satellite digital twins and their C2 ground segments, with a focus on missions requiring rendezvous proximity operations (RPO), specialized mission payloads, system-of-systems integration, and interoperability. This engineer will support full-stack development for a cloud-based Modeling & Simulation platform, to include the applications of Digital Twins, infrastructure messaging protocols, and the algorithms to support large scale modeling and sim processing.

The Delphi program in Colorado Springs, CO is growing and seeking a software engineer to develop Mod & Sim-based test and training capabilities for Satellite Digital Twins and Space Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) programs. We seek a self-driven person who enjoys being on a high-performing team to the support the future of wargaming, testing, training, exercises, and operational system performance and behavior.

Job Responsibilities:
Full-stack software development in an Agile framework
Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment.
Implement Modeling & Simulations services within a Container based system design leveraging open standards, micro-services, and model-based engineering tools.
Developing software requirements
Understanding design implementation
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for key portions of our software development lifecycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. Required Skills:
Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics)
5 or more years of experience coding in either Java, Python, and/or C++
5 or more years of experience with Agile software development
5 or more years of experience working within integrated development environments.
5 or more years of experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test.
5 or more years of experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), GitLab, or similar tools.
Desired Skills:
Experience with full stack software development.
Experience with spacecraft modeling and algorithm design and implementation.
Experience with developing cloud-based web applications in Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure environments.
Experience with Angular, React, or other Front-End frameworks
