Job Description
Systems Engineer with a DevOps focus. Member of a high-impact team bringing industry best-practices, open-source tooling, and ubiquitous automation into the customer’s software integration and delivery processes. Freedom to innovate in almost any area the team touches, from system administration (hardware/OS/security) to software (containerization/installation/orchestration) to monitoring (health & status, metrics, automated recovery) and more. Team members serve as a critical resource to the integration, system administration, and software development teams to encourage automation, standardization, and adoption of modern tools.
Essential:
– significant work experience in software system integration and DevOps
– advanced troubleshooting skills
– significant experience in Linux (CentOS/RHEL)
– experience scripting with bash/python
– experience automating fleet management with Ansible
– experience with CI/CD concepts and implementation
– some software development experience/exposure
– proficient with git
– experience with containers and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes/Rancher)
– proficient with switching and routing concepts
Non-essential, Desired:
– experience with managing VMware Infrastructure
– experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
– experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka) and messaging topologies (activemq/rabbitmq)
– experience developing with and operating elasticsearch databases in production
– experience with networking
– experience performing ETL on data using open-source tooling
