Clearance: Active TS/SCI needed to apply

Company Overview:

Cornerstone Defense, in partnership with our military, intelligence, and civil government customers, supports U.S. operations worldwide through the use of many different types of intelligence, satellite, and cyber technologies. Cornerstone’s Intelligence Sector provides solutions to the United States Government for information collection, operations, exploitation and dissemination, and research activities. Our Team specializes in software development, cloud architecture, systems and network engineering, systems integration, agile management, as well as targeting operations and intelligence analysis. Our support to our mission customers includes cyber network operations, exploitation and defense, signals intelligence, human intelligence, and critical missions and networks.

General Requirements:

  • Evaluate systems under various scenarios and architectures to determine and/or optimize overall system mission performance in a framework giving insight into performance that may be employed by Missile Defense Agency and Warfighters
  • Develop and maintain analysis tools of varied fidelity including modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats of current and future missile defense systems
  • Serving as a system engineering system performance architecture, test/definition/analysis domains, system-specific issues, processes, and tools
  • Lead efforts to solve complex missile defense problems
  • Utilization of MBSE tools such as DOORS, System Architect and mathematical modeling and simulation to provide thought leadership and lead trade studies in assigned areas
  • Requirements and architecture development in support of MDS systems
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
  • Defines, schedules, assigns, and executes tasks, and monitors completion to lead the monitoring of integration and checkout activities, receiving and evaluating of results of activities, and approving/disapproving of each by determining whether results meet the checkout requirements
  • Develop, select, tailor, and deploy system analysis processes, tools, and metrics
  • Perform system analysis trade studies to define technical concepts and solutions
  • Execute and document system analysis results or integration and test activities
  • Develop, define efficiencies and improvements to tools to improve team productivity

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with Agile Development processes
  • Demonstrated experience modeling or simulating missile defense elements or systems in similar domains (air combat, air defense, intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets, space vehicles, sub-orbital mechanics, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ballistic and advanced threat systems (e.g. aero-maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper-glide, countermeasures, etc.)
  • Experience using MATLAB, Python, JAVA, or similar language environment to develop analytical tools or perform numerical modeling of complex systems
  • Demonstrated experience performing systems analysis or performance analysis including system concept trade studies, operational analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility analysis, system performance measures of effectiveness analysis (incl. technical performance measures), discrimination methods and techniques definition, probability analysis, or vehicle analysis
  • Experience with EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, missiles/interceptors, ICBM / hypersonic / MRM / SRM threats, discrimination analysis, detection/tracking, or Command and Control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.)
  • Analysis experience or requirements and architecture in aspects of missile defense systems such as Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Fire Control (FOM, GFC), C2BMC, BMDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, hypersonic vehicles, countermeasures, counter-countermeasures, or threats)
  • Element-level experience with Analysis, Assessment, or Verification and familiarity with MDS Performance Tier 1 Metrics (PES, DA, LAD, RSC, etc.)
  • Specialization in any of the following: radar & radio frequency energy (RF), high-energy weapon systems, hypersonics, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors, electronic attack, electronic protection, remote sensing, target tracking & discrimination, pattern recognition, imaging, sensor & data fusion, missile technology, interceptors & kill-vehicles, battle management, statistical methods, modeling & simulation (M&S), concept development, model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and system testing
