Responsibilities Responsible for translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites. The Systems Intigrator (SI) will help the training university, focusing on information technology tradecraft to provide project management support to manage foundational skills of several university occupations. The SI shall also work with Leadership to analyze data, map skills to learning content and identify IT learning or skills gaps. Additionally, the SI shall assist the developing learning execution strategies to address these gaps either through design/development of Sponsor-led course content or acquisition and delivery of commercial content. Responsibilities shall include:
Supporting Strategic Planning the SI will provide support in:
Develop and execute strategic plans related to baselining occupational IT training
Conducting needs assessments for baselined occupational training and identify relevant content training to satisfy skills development needs
Once baselined, develop learning strategies that enhances skills development through advanced training and learning events, at the Sponsor's direction
Coordinate with University Communications team to create and disseminate information about digital acumen courses and learning content to the IC
Drafting of content for official communications (program calls, course advertisements, etc.)
Briefing Sponsor components on events and programs
Supporting Curriculum Development Assistance, the SI will:
Provide input to Instructional Designers related to the development of Sponsor-led online and classroom courses/events and materials for new and existing courses/events, including but not limited to:
Work with senior leadership and personnel to conceptualize and propose new courses that align within the university's digital acumen strategic framework
Research and propose external/commercial curriculum design/development/instruction opportunities to add to the university specific occupational curriculum
Provide input as needed while instructional designers, graphic designers, and web developers assist with developing and delivering Sponsor-led learning content
Solicit input from subject matter experts to ensure that information technology tradecraft course content up to date and relevant to the needs of stakeholders
The SI shall deliver the following Tasks, as directed by the Sponsor:
Conduct a baseline assessment related to digital information technology training for selected university occupations; provide summary report detailing results, identify learning gaps and make training recommendations
Collaborate with components to evaluate existing and new Sponsor-led courses (where applicable) making recommendations for course design enhancements and ensuring course/skills de-confliction
Conduct research/outreach to identify and take advantage of commercial learning content or services that may fit organization baseline requirements for information technology learning
Provide a monthly report on the status and progress of all innovation curriculum projects
Qualifications
Excellent communication and writing skills to compose correspondence on behalf of senior executives
A strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, SharePoint and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal, networking, and critical thinking skills (analysis, judgment, information seeking)
Ability to synthesize information from various resources
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently; self-starter
Familiarity of cloud based technologies

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years of experience) in liberal arts studies, communications, or other associated discipline
