Core responsibilities of the position include: The Information System Security Officer (ISSO), in coordination with the Program Security Officer (PSO) and the Information System Security Managers (ISSM), shall provide comprehensive Information Security (INFOSEC) assistance and oversite daily. ISSO is to perform and deliver:
Support review and analyze systems architecture diagrams and networks.
Assess security system needs and recommend corrective actions into coherent security strategy.
Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements and process and apply ICD 503, NISPOM, and other federal guidelines in support of systems used at contractor facilities.
Advise on development, maintenance, and security review of Automated Information Systems (AIS) security plans for computers, networks and information systems deployed and used at contractor facilities.
Conduct technical exchanges meetings to facilitate AIS security solutions for both industrial contractors and government systems; and produce comprehensive solutions to technically complex systems and challenges.
Advise and answer questions regarding program AIS, information security, and cyber defense policies.
Ensure discovered cyber incidents, including misuse, virus/malware, penetrations, and data spills are reported per standard operating procedures (SOP); support investigations and remediation/clean up as necessary.
Support investigations and analysis of all data sources, to include Internet, Intelligence Community reporting, security events, firewall logs, unauthorized activity or other cyber security related concerns.
Assess the technical and performance characteristics of new technologies, as they relate to sponsors’ policies and regulations.
Required experience:
Minimum 8 years’ experience performing full range of ISSO functions
Relevant industry certifications
Preferred – Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance and in small dynamic teams often under time-constraints
US government issued Top Secret security clearance with full scope polygraph required at time of application

Core responsibilities of the position include:
Provide expertise security advice and assistance to customer, industrial partners and vendors.
Provide security education of contractor security officers and other contract personnel on proper procedures for protecting classified information and material. This entails the inspection and accreditation of contractor facilities based on ICD 705 and/or NISPOM requirements, and monitoring contractor compliance with contractual security requirements, national standards, and policy guidance.
Create and maintain appropriate security documentation, such as program security plans, program protection plans, and CONOPS. Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining program security processes, security manuals, and standard operating procedures.
Work with various customers components to ensure timely approvals, accreditation's, etc.; synthesizing security requirements, advising on viability of alternate approaches.
Investigate security incidents.
Support employees through the clearance process.
Develop documents for new compartmented programs.
Create briefing materials and provide security awareness training.
Required experience:
Minimum 12 years experience performing full range of PSO functions for national security programs and/or relevant industry security experience/certifications.
Working knowledge of the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance and in small dynamic teams often under time-constraints
Experience supporting compartmented programs
Possess basic understanding of COMSEC functions
Preferred Proficient writing official reports
US government issued Top Secret security clearance required at time of application
