Seeking a professional Research Specialist that has a solid grasp of industry research techniques and understanding of the Intelligence Community. The mission of the Search Team is to run queries and complete intense research to uncover responsive copies document(s) requested by the customer. Collections can include a variety of forms including, but not limited to: electronic, hardcopy, microfilm2. This position is the focal point for providing intelligence reporting and reference services to the entire organization. The right candidate must have significant prior customer knowledge and relatable experience that they are able to utilize in order to perform the research. He or she will then analyze the results requiring the constant exercise of discretion and to determine applicability of the documents to the tasking, providing results in accordance with customer guidelines.
Typical Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Crafting queries based on system requirements, in order to uncover relevant documents;
• Reviewing hit lists for responsive documents while identifying duplicate documents, in order to provide on the cleanest copy of each document;
• Scanning documents to provide customers with an electronic response when necessary.
1. • Significant experience of searching/querying databases with ability to quickly adjust to new systems.
2. • Driven self-starter who is preemptive in seeking clarification when needed and the capability to adapt to new processes.
3. • Must be a team player willing to collaborate and develop robust relationships with clients, colleagues and technical teams.
4. • Skilled in time management with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and multitask in order to meet tight deadlines.
5. • Goal oriented individual who is able to apply critical thinking and provide out of the box solutions.
6. • Experience with data calls and quick reaction tasks
7. • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and various management levels delivering a proactive experience and approach to high quality services for all stake holders.
