Senior Business Analyst II Tysons Corner, VA Active TS/SCI with Poly
As a Sr. Business Analyst II, you’ll support Agile teams by gathering and refining requirements, ensuring successful delivery of capabilities, and confirming that work is ready for acceptance without major issues. You will serve as a key liaison between stakeholders and development teams, applying both business analysis expertise and Agile/Scrum practices.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform requirements analysis and documentation activities, including gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process observation
Translate mission and business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications
Create comprehensive documentation such as user stories, use cases, process flows, and system requirements
Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
Conduct process analysis and improvement activities
Perform gap analysis between current and future state
Develop process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures
Engage in stakeholder management activities by collaborating with business users, project managers, developers, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity of requirements
Support systems analysis and testing by evaluating functionality and performance to ensure alignment with documented requirements
Conduct data analysis and reporting activities, including creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making
What you’ll need to succeed:
7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Agile software development programs, preferably within DoD or Intelligence Community environments
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (required)
Proven experience translating mission and business needs into epics, features, and well‑defined user stories with acceptance criteria
Strong background collaborating with Product Owners, engineers, and Scrum teams, supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release activities
Hands-on experience using JIRA, Confluence, and/or GitHub for backlog management, requirements documentation, and traceability
Strong facilitation and communication skills, with experience eliciting requirements from business users
Experience performing gap analyses and workflow analysis to define current vs. future state system capabilities
Experience supporting user acceptance testing, system testing, and validation
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required or strongly preferred, demonstrating proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies and the ability to effectively support teams within a Scrum framework
