Software Engineer supporting the Data Ingest Team. In this role, you will work with a small talented team working with BIG DATA. You will implement complex data parsers for a variety of structured and unstructured data sets to render them in a format recognized by a host of analytical tools. You will work primarily in Python but knowledge of Java and Perl is valuable. You will automate certain bulk data processing using Apache NiFi and other technologies. As part of the program’s process improvement program, you will refactor legacy code to improve speed and efficiency of production processing. You will research new technology to develop innovative new methods for extracting and transforming the huge flows of data received and ingested daily.
