Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.
 
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

All contract work must be performed within our GDMS facility located in Oakton, Virginia.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION
All contract work must be performed within our facility located in Oakton, Virginia.

As a Software Engineer / Web Development, you’ll perform software requirements analysis, participate in research and design, and develop and test software and tools. From inventing new products or enhancing existing applications, your talent will be front and center.

Data Center work. All Linux, 6 databases all running Oracle 20.  Custom shop with a small close knit group consisting of 2 teams. Software Development Team and System Support Team.

Hi performance computing shop that tries to be cutting edge (trying to get as close to latest tech as possible).  No stove piped jobs.  Cross functional support team that allows team members to work in areas outside of their job/position.  This gives the team member the ability to challenge themselves and to develop a long term career path. Shop is agile, do sprints, and like outside of the box ideas.  Looking to go from on-prem data center to a hybrid (on-prem / virtual machine) using the lift & shift model. Looking for technologist who enjoy performance tuning.

This team takes data from multiple sources in any format (structured or unstructured), transforms it into interpretable fragments, and allows engines to categorize, quantify, distill, and deliver results for DEF Analysts to interpret. Team members work closely with customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes drug enforcement crime missions. The technology stack is built on hardware and software in Linux environments interfacing with multi-petabyte data processing and analytic platforms – all designed, built, and maintained by the program team.
