Our team of engineers are responsible for full lifecycle guidance, navigation, and control development from design through to unit, including, mission planning, design and simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, on vehicle functionality, and flight testing. While utilizing astrodynamics and orbital analysis software and technologies, this team is deeply involved in all aspects of GNC, ensuring spacecraft is properly designed and tested to operate and fulfill an optimal and safe rendezvous, for multi-year missions.
Our team of electrical and mechanical engineers work hand in hand on the production, processing, development, design, and use of modern materials for space missions. Our electrical engineers are focused on the development, build, and testing of electrical systems and electronics, providing specific expertise in programmable logic designs. Our mechanical engineers work to ensure the stability and resilience of space structures by utilizing structural and thermal analysis, static and dynamic mechanical analysis, among other analysis techniques.
The Systems Engineering and Integration team focuses on various space systems, while providing solutions and support to ensure timely architecture and implementation. Our systems engineers and integrators are trained and certified, and specialize in traditional SE&I, Model-Based approaches, and process engineering. With a heavy focus on multiple full lifecycle support disciplines, they are performing requirements gathering and development, verification and validation planning and oversight, risk management, system architecture development, among many other things.
Our team of developers function in multifaceted environments ensuring customers in the aerospace and defense areas of the U.S. Government and integrator community receive differentiated applications and services in support of their dynamic mission requirements.
Our Team of Scrum Masters and Agile coaches are committed to enforcing the methodologies of this practice. The commitment to an agile approach must be absorbed in the software development process. Our team collaborates with our customers and development teams to instill the philosophies of the methodology, ultimately creating an Agile center of excellence.
Our Team of highly skilled cloud engineers are trained in the development and implementation of multiple cloud technologies. We focus on the best solution, based on mission driven requirements, to ensure our customers and the warfighter are receiving the information required to make informed decisions in a global environment.
Our team has deep domain expertise in both traditional and software defined networks. Cornerstone has performed in all stages of network engineering from requirements gathering through implementation, operations, and maintenance. Our team was integral on a global re-design of the largest encrypted network in the intelligence community. The architecture design allowed for cloud optimized performance and secure communication across a multi-disciplined global enterprise.
Our cadre of information systems security officers, managers, and engineers are working to build, improve, create, and document processes and procedures for a multitude of space-based systems. By utilizing cybersecurity technology and skills, RMF compliance, configuration management, and software development, our team continues to directly contribute to successful ATOs.
Our ground operations individuals are routinely tasked with properly configuring orbital and ground resources for communication, thus allowing monitoring of state of health and planning systems. These engineers interact with factory and military personnel regularly, providing ground system configuration, ground, and spacecraft troubleshooting, creating procedures, ensuring the successful operations of spacecraft and ground systems.
Our team of highly trained real-time operators support multiple classified and unclassified missions both pre and post launch. We have focused, driven, and mission essential personnel that provide communications and contact support, anomaly reporting and resolution, creating procedures, pre and post pass planning, and overall monitoring of spacecraft status/functionality, in support of our DoD customers, ensuring mission success.
The Cornerstone Defense Team supports numerous customers in the identification, ingest, and analysis of mission critical data. This analysis includes trending, anomaly detection, change/effect evaluation, and improved operations. Analysis includes research on failures, continuity of operation, improved cost of operation, and specifics such as orbital debris, parts defects, improved component storage, and delivery.
