Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related or an additional 6 years of experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of 8 years of experience with hands on development experience using Java to ETL data
Experience with ETL including:
o Data formats such as XML, JSON and YML
o Normalizing data and high-volume data ingestion
Knowledge of build tools such as Maven or Gradle
Understanding relational databases including the use of MySQL and/ or Oracle for designing
database schemas
Basic knowledge of Linux
Experience with PKI including creating and deploying certificates
Experience with C2S/AWS and understanding of fundamentals for EC2, VPC, and S3.
Understanding of REST services and HTTP
Experience with DevOps using tools like Jenkins
Desired Qualifications:
Developing middle tier software using Spring Boot
Experience with Amazon AWS Java API
Experience with shell scripting
CIT is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of CDEP Software Developer on our
team in Chantilly, VA. The Senior ETL-focused developer will need to have the ability to understand, develop,
automate, and enhance all parts of the data pipeline to include ingestion, processing, storage, and exposing
data for consumption. This position requires working with various mission stakeholders, communicating
system features and concepts to other users and developers, and interacting with program
management. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting other developers, debugging
various development and O&M processes, and system documentation
