Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Fairfax, VA Company Overview: Cornerstone Defense, in partnership with our military, intelligence, and civil government customers, supports U.S. operations worldwide through the use of many different types of intelligence, satellite, and cyber technologies. Cornerstone’s Intelligence Sector provides solutions to the United States Government for information collection, operations, exploitation and dissemination, and research activities. Our Team specializes in software development, cloud architecture, systems and network engineering, systems integration, agile management, as well as targeting operations and intelligence analysis. Our support to our mission customers includes cyber network operations, exploitation and defense, signals intelligence, human intelligence, and critical missions and networks.
Responsibilities Seeking Software Engineers who want to take their career to the next level. This position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph and will be located on customer site in Northern VA.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Design, develop, test, and maintain production-level enterprise applications deployed to cloud infrastructure
Extend open-source libraries and systems as necessary to meet the needs of the team
Design and implement functionality that spans from storage to middleware to browser
Create interactive Web-based user interface components and data visualizations
Work closely with customers and teammates to rapidly build, test, and deploy new capabilities
TASKS YOU MIGHT WORK ON:
Engineering new automation tools using native AWS services.
Maintaining our current infrastructure using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and Docker.
Building new automation scripts using bash to ease deployments and setup in various environments.
Designing new monitoring tools to help streamline O&M activities.
Creating new infrastructure solutions on AWS to support our application, such as Lambda, and Kubernetes.
Qualifications
You love technology (e.g., Angular.io, Node.js, Elastic Stack, AWS, MongoDB, Apache NiFi, Ansible, Scala, Akka, Spring.io, and more)
You have a degree in computer science, or a related field or at least 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree, and like trying new things.
