The Consultant will work entirely at the direction of the customer to assist in Compute System Administration support while serving as a member of the STARCOM team at the Customer’s location.
Job Responsibilities:
• The consultant shall support the Government Risk Management Framework (RMF) Process jointly with the Government-provided Platform-as-a-service and host application capabilities of other directed contractors. Working together the contractors shall jointly obtain an ATO for the CUI HPC that emulates the environment of TS, or TS+ capabilities.
• Consultant shall provide dedicated SME/System Administrator to support optimization tuning and administration of the HPC capability.
• Consultant services include hardware patching and system protection and ensuring no end-of-life (EOL) capabilities.
• Supporting STARCOM HPC system administrators for HPC Superdome System Optimization, Tuning and Administration activities as defined below for CUI & TS/SCI classification levels:
• Optimization, Tuning and Administration of hardware layer for workloads and tasks
• Change management support for UEFI, BIOS, OS and network performance tuning
• Review of software stack components (compilers, configurations, operating systems & partitions)
• Support for resource planning during system expansion activities
• Review of system and software integration requirements
• Transfer of knowledge, continuity and data
• Primary point of contact for incidents & troubleshooting
Required Skills:
• Consultant to hold a Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Computer systems, Information Technology Systems, or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution with 10-15 years of experience working in classified environments; or a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields, from an appropriately accredited institution and 10-15 years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming in classified environments.
• Experience working with applications that are AI enabled, require high amount of graphical processing units and visualization that can operate in a secure software defined environment.
• Expertise in Secure LINUX implementations and familiar with use of containers in cloud environments and HPC Hardware operations and configurations
