Responsibilities
Develop and manage flight hardware test plans, from concept to execution
Develop test requirements and their verification methods through close collaboration with the Systems Engineering team
Interface with the customer, negotiating test requirements and methods, jointly developing plans, and communicating and reporting on test progress
Represent test engineering at major program milestones and act as expert reviewer at Test Readiness Reviews
Identify testing methods and test fixturing for risk mitigation, prototype development and requirement verification
Plan and perform environmental qualification and testing of hardware, including functional testing, vibration testing, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, and other qualification tests
Communicating and collaborating with various areas of the business, such as technicians, product and technical leadership, and program managers
Qualifications
5-9 years of hands-on experience in space and small satellites including satellite components.
Experience assembling and/or testing hardware for space environments.
Experience in overseeing and processing data from environmental tests such as vibration, shock, thermal cycling and/or thermal-vacuum testing.
Familiar with writing test documentation, such as test plans, procedures, and reports.
Experience with preparing and leading project stage-gate meetings (such as CDR, TRR, etc.) and interfacing with customers.
Exceptional Qualifications
Familiarity with MIL-STD testing and NASA GEVS testing standards
Experience with test automation including coding scripted tests
