Principal Systems Engineer, Linux

The Program is comprised of Linux (80%), Windows (20%), virtualization, storage, network, HW, and data center engineers that works as a team and offers rewarding opportunities to think outside the box in order to deliver innovative and sustainable IT environments to our customers.

The System Administrators work both independently and as a member of an integrated product team supporting a wide variety of basic and complex computing and network configurations and must have proven Linux experience.

The on-site system administrator will support the installation, configuration, maintenance, failure analysis and recovery, performance monitoring, data storage management, and security management of the data center environment.

The system administrator will have experience in at least one, preferably two, scripting languages (shell, Perl, Powershell, Python, etc.) and shall have proven experience administering Linux operating systems in the conduct of their duties. The right candidate will have proven experience in problem solving.

Mandatory Skills:

– Architecting, deploying, and managing large Linux networked environments including deployment and configuration

Seeking an Intelligence Technical Specialist to provide document scanning support to the declassification program in the Warrenton, VA area.  This positions primary responsibility is to support the digitization effort to convert paper documents to image, performing quality control of images and indexing various fields pulled from the scanned documents.  In this position every individual will be cross-trained so that the entire life-cycle of digitization can be performed by each member of the team. This ensures quality assurance in scanning, indexing, and editing.  
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, independent worker who can also work in and contribute to a team environment.  The candidate will be part of a team that maintains data entry production, scanning; prepares work to be processed; and inputs data in a classified environment.  This position requires extreme attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities. Must work 8 hours a day – and cover time to 4:30pm.
 

1. • Review and prepare files and documents based on conversion requirements to include but not limited to: arranging records in date order, removing duplicate copies, removing staples and clipping multipage documents.
2. • Determine which scanning device will properly perform the operations depending on the type of quality of documents to be imaged
3. • Perform and monitor all activities required to scan the documents
4. • Receive boxes check in to database and track from start to finish

Coordinate hunt activities between various internal and external hunt groups

Develop and produce reports on all activities and incidents to help maintain day to day status, develop and report on trends, and provide focus and situational awareness on all issues

Piece together intrusion campaigns, threat actors, and nation-state organizations

Manage, share, and receive intelligence on APT adversary groups

Generate intelligence from their own data sources and share it accordingly

Identify, extract, and leverage intelligence from APT intrusions

Expand upon existing intelligence to build profiles of adversary groups

Leverage intelligence to better defend against and respond to future intrusions

Correlate data from intrusion detection and prevention systems with data from other sources such as firewall, web server, and DNS logs

Notify the management team of significant changes in the security threat against the government networks in a timely manner and in writing via established reporting methods

Coordinate with appropriate organizations within the intelligence community regarding possible security incidents.  Conduct intra-office research to evaluate events as necessary, maintain the current list of coordination points of contact.

Review assembled data with firewall administrators, engineering, system administrators and other appropriate groups to determine the risk of a given event

In this role, the Software Integration Engineer shall collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to implement automation, enforce best practices, and support integration of new services within the Kubernetes cluster ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
OR
The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.
OR
An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
