Create robust and resilient data pipelines to connect data sources to analytics tools

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled Network Engineer with virtualization experience to join our team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and building our low-side network services that support the program. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of network architecture, networking protocols, virtualization technologies and security measures essential for maintaining high availability and performance in hybrid cloud environments and will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services, optimizing network infrastructure to support application performance and reliability. Responsibilities
• Design and implement a secure networking solution currently on-prem to a hybrid version built on AWS.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

The Program is comprised of Linux (80%), Windows (20%), virtualization, storage, network, HW, and data center engineers that works as a team and offers rewarding opportunities to think outside the box in order to deliver innovative and sustainable IT environments to our customers.

The System Administrators work both independently and as a member of an integrated product team supporting a wide variety of basic and complex computing and network configurations and must have proven Linux experience.

The on-site system administrator will support the installation, configuration, maintenance, failure analysis and recovery, performance monitoring, data storage management, and security management of the data center environment.

The system administrator will have experience in at least one, preferably two, scripting languages (shell, Perl, Powershell, Python, etc.) and shall have proven experience administering Linux operating systems in the conduct of their duties. The right candidate will have proven experience in problem solving.

– Architecting, deploying, and managing large Linux networked environments including deployment and configuration
-Installing, configuring, updating and removing system and application software
-Hardening Linux server installations
-Installing, configuring, updating and removing system hardware (servers, workstations, transceivers, network interface cards)

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience, and four (4) years of relevant experience (see below bullets).

Five (5) years or more of total intelligence community relevant work experience as a system administrator
Seven (7) years’ experience as a system administrator

Experience with Kubernetes; upgrading Linux systems and transition to new configurations management environments; C2S/UC2S policies and procedures; familiarity with creation of S3/GLACIERS instances and with Rapid7 vulnerability scans and reports.

Required:
– 3-5 years of HAND-ON network engineering experience in customer environment
– Hands-on Cisco firewall experience (ASA/Firepower 5510, 5515X, FP4100’s, etc…)
– Hands-on Cisco Catalyst switch experience (Nexus switch experience would be a HUGE plus)
– CCNP-level knowledge of Cisco networking (No requirement for certification, but understanding at this level is required)
– Familiarity with cabling types/standards (i.e., Single Mode vs. Multi Mode, LC connector vs. SC connector, Cat5/6/7, etc…)
– Good understanding of network link virtualization technologies (i.e., Ether-channel/Port-channel, Nexus virtual port-channels (vpcs))

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
We are actively seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) with a minimum of 11 years' experience with a Bachelor's Degree. Other degrees will be considered with the year's experience adjusted to accommodate. We are looking for a candidate with specific skills that may include the following:
•   Implementation and validation of security controls that support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ICD 503 Security Accreditation
•   Developing architecture documentation and Systems Security Plans (SSP) to support Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) reviews
•   POA&M development and implementation
•   Coordinating with customer security organizations to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO).
