Principal Systems Engineer, Linux

The Program is comprised of Linux (80%), Windows (20%), virtualization, storage, network, HW, and data center engineers that works as a team and offers rewarding opportunities to think outside the box in order to deliver innovative and sustainable IT environments to our customers.

The System Administrators work both independently and as a member of an integrated product team supporting a wide variety of basic and complex computing and network configurations and must have proven Linux experience.

The on-site system administrator will support the installation, configuration, maintenance, failure analysis and recovery, performance monitoring, data storage management, and security management of the data center environment.

The system administrator will have experience in at least one, preferably two, scripting languages (shell, Perl, Powershell, Python, etc.) and shall have proven experience administering Linux operating systems in the conduct of their duties. Seeking a skilled and motivated Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to work hand-in-hand with our Development and Sustainment Teams in navigating Security policy/requirements that effectively deliver compliant and compelling technical/operational solutions.  As a whole, the Program supports a Classified Government Customer responsible for Records and Information Management, Classification Management and Policy, Archives and Records Center oversight, Records Digitization and Automation, and a host of software development and enabling functions that position the Customer for sustained success.  The potential on this Program to expand support to other Sponsor Customer areas and the larger Intelligence Community is high and requires an individual a strong security background who understands and can translate security policy/requirements into actionable artifacts; someone who can think strategically; respond tactically; has the interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, interface and represent the Program at all levels; possesses a strong Mission/Support ethic; and takes proprietary pride in performance.

Description: Seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of Database Administrator (DBA). The ideal candidate has in-depth Oracle DBA experience where the infrastructure is Amazon Web Services (AWS) Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) based. In this position, the DBA must oversee and operationally maintain the reliability and security of the databases used in two specific applications. The DBA must also be able to interact with the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) components within the organization to ensure proper data flow, availability, integrity, and performance of the data to the end user analysts.
Maintaining data security, along with access credentials and policies, are of the utmost importance in this role. Therefore, it is critical for the person in this position to have expert knowledge and awareness of Information Technology (IT) and Cyber Security best practices.
